Find a Plumber is an online directory that helps individuals and businesses in Quebec find certified plumbers. We operate trouveunplombier.com (the “site”).

Information you voluntarily submit through our forms (quote request, business registration): name, email, phone, city, service type, message and, where applicable, company name and license number.

Technical browsing data automatically sent by your browser when you access the site (IP address, device type, pages viewed) in our hosting provider’s logs.

Approximate geographic location only if you click “Find near me” and allow browser geolocation. Coordinates are used locally to suggest the nearest plumber; they are not sent to our servers.

Process and forward your quote or registration requests to relevant plumbers or our team.

Operate the directory, respond to inquiries, and improve site content and features.

Meet legal obligations and prevent fraud or misuse.

Quote and registration forms are processed through Formspree (Formspree Inc.), a third-party service that receives and relays submissions. Submitted data may also be stored in our database (Supabase) when configured, and notification emails may be sent via Resend.

These providers process data on our behalf under their privacy policies and appropriate contractual safeguards.

Plumber listings displayed in the directory come from public or professional sources (certification registries, business data) and may include company name, professional contact details, service areas, reviews, and specialties. This information is published for reference and matching purposes.

The site does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party behavioural analytics tools.

We use the browser’s session storage to remember, for the duration of your visit, that you dismissed the “nearest plumber” bar or the selection shown. This data stays on your device.

Essential cookies may be set by our host (Vercel) to ensure site security and performance.

Form submissions are kept as long as needed to process your request, manage relationships with listed plumbers, and meet legal obligations, then deleted or anonymized when the purpose is fulfilled.

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. However, no Internet transmission is completely secure.

Under Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector and applicable Canadian laws, you may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information, or withdraw consent where processing relies on it.
